    ESD generators are calibrated according to the standard IEC/EN 61000-4-2 Ed 2.0. The Haefely PET 4000 ESD Current Target Calibration Set allows the user to take measurements conforming to the new 4GHz requirement in accordance with IEC 61000-4-2 Ed. 2.0. Measurement of individual impulse parameters is performed using a special coaxial current shunt. This has a nominal impedance of 2 Ohms. Because ESD events can be generated as high as 120A, attenuators are required to reduce the impulse-voltage level so it can be displayed on commercial oscilloscopes. An oscilloscope with minimum 2GHz bandwidth is required to properly display the ESD impulse.     Annex F of the actual ISO 10605, provides an additional approach for the ESD powered up test. This approach is intended to produce more repeatable test results and to better correlate with vehicle level ESD tests and the real world environment in comparison especially to the HCP test. This test is an optional test that can be selected by the users in additional to the present standard ESD powered up test as described in clause 5.3.  The HCP-auto allows for direct and indirect application of ESD discharges to the DUT as per the automotive test standard ISO 10605 for electrostatic immunity, also reference by manufacturer specs by Ford, GM, Toyota and more.     The Keytek ZapMaster is a automated, high-speed ESD test system developed to test ICs and advanced electronic devices. The ZapMaster system can be configured from 64 pin (Model 7/1) to a 256 pin (Model 7/4) system in 64 pin increments. The ZapMaster delivers clean repeatable waveforms to any pin or combination of pins via a fully automated switching matrix and will test up to 8 devices simultaneously.
