ESDGuns.com is proud to announce it's first US manufactured product, the GRC Series grounding cables with 470k Ohm resistors for ESD voltage bleeding during IEC compliance and pre-compliance test and evaluation. The indirect discharge part of ESD immunity test uses two planes, known as the horizontal coupling plane (HCP) and the vertical coupling plane (VCP) and coupled to the ground reference plane (GRP). The HCP remains in place under the EUT during the direct tests, the VCP to be placed at a 10 cm distance from the EUT.

Models:

GRC-40KV-CC is the top of the line cable using carbon composition resistors, suitable for ESD testing to the voltage levels required for RTCA/DO-160, ISO 10605, MIL-STD-461G CS118 and others requiring a 30kV ESD generator. Carbon composition resistors will survive several years of high frequency and long test sequences. These cables are recommended for laboratories whom perform precompliance ESD testing to the aforementioned standards on a regular basis.

GRC-20KV-CC is a grounding resistive cable suitable for long term and high frequency testing to IEC 61000-4-2, IEC 60601 and other commercial ESD compliance standards. 

GRC-40KV-MO use metal oxide resistors suitable for all types of ESD testing, with a slightly shorter life expectance than the carbon comp resistors, these cables are offered at half the price as the -CC models.

GRC-20KV-MO are ideal for customers renting a 15kV or 16kV ESD simulator for precompliance evaluation or during the design phase requiring intermittent use of an ESD generator.
